After a long wait, it is finally time! The Hobie Fishing European Championship 2021 are set to start. Anglers from all over Europe have made their way (or some are still on their way) to Stad aan ‘t Haringvliet in the Netherlands. The tiny village is not an immediate tourist attraction for the big crowds, but it does have a beautiful marina with direct access to one of the most popular fishing waters of Europe. Het Haringvliet. Famous for its big perch, fat zander and monsterous pike, this water has been the stage for multiple world class events over the years and one more this weekend.
Jachthaven Atlantica has turned into the HQ of the HFE2021 the last week and they’re excited to welcome all competitors for the weekend. Upcoming weekend anglers will start from the Marina making their way onto the tournament arena chasing pike, perch and zander to gather as much cm as possible in their daily bag.

During the event anglers will use the TourneyX app to submit their catches. This year there will be a live leaderboard available for everyone to keep track of the current standings. The leader board will be shut down Sunday end of the morning to keep it exciting for everyone.
Competitors have been arriving throughout the day and setting up their camp. Tomorrow morning they can go out to pre fish and finalise their game plan. After registration and the captainsbriefing the bar will open and the BBQs will be lit to lay a good foundation for the competition. We are ready to start!
